1917 Gibson L-3 Excellent, Original Hard, $3,995.00

Beautiful! An all-original Gibson guitar from before the end of WW I, quite rare. In the style of the day, a solid spruce carved top with round soundhole, with solid birch sides and solid carved back. It's all there, even the tailpiece with 1910 patent date and tortoise-type bridge pin bar, pickguard, tuners with Ivoroid buttons and lovely engraved floral patterns on the base plates. Action just beautiful, wonderful handful of a neck with 1-7/8" wide nut. Tone is bright and sharp and lots of it, just like 1917 always was. No issues, no repairs ever, about perfect.
