1947 Gibson L-5 Sunburst
Here's a 1947 Gibson L-5 in Sunburst finish. What an incredible example!! It includes a beautiful sounding Kent Armstrong floating pickup...which is structurally non-intrusive. The guitar features highly figured solid book matched maple back & sides, hand carved solid spruce top, five piece flame maple neck, Ebony fingerboard with block mother of pearl inlays, Kluson tuners, original rosewood bridge, and it's original engraved deco L-5 tailpiece. The guitar had a professional neck set, which must have been done a long time ago, as it's nearly undetectable. The neck profile has a full feeling C shape that's very comfortable. The action is smooth and low, with exceptional playability. Tonally the guitar sounds incredible. The voice is open and warm, with excellent balance and clarity. This one is a stunner! Original Lifton case included!
