Summary: A desirable prewar Gibson archtop. Classic vintage looks and sound at an obtainable price.

Body: Grand auditorium body size. 16 1/4” width at lower bout. Carved spruce top with sunburst finish. Dark-stained maple sides and arched back. White ivoroid bound top and back.

Neck: Big round mahogany neck. Rosewood fretboard with pearl dot inlays. Adjustable truss rod. “Gibson” script logo on headstock.

Pickups/Hardware: Rosewood adjustable floating bridge. Nickel tail piece. Nickel Grover tuners with white ivoroid buttons.

Cosmetics: This old guitar is in great shape. There is a spot of buckle rash on the back and slight binding separation along upper waist curve. Frets show some wear but have plenty of life left. Delicate crazing on the top gives the sunburst finish depth and character.

Playability: The action is comfortable the fat neck is rather comfortable to play. Sound is classic Gibson archtop: dry with a midrange.

Weight: 4 lbs, 12 oz.
