1952 Gibson L-50 Sunburst
Sunburst, VG++. These are Gibson’s mid-line fully professional solid top Archtops. Has a 16” wide top, maple back and sides, Brazilian Rosewood fingerboard over a Honduran Mahogany neck with a slight V medium large profile. Has a bound neck, crown inlays, original beveled pickguard and nickel tailpiece and a newer compensated bridge. Also has a repaired top crack from bass side of the bridge to the tailpiece area and some repaired braces. The finish has lots of checking and fade. The tone has great volume and definition and the throw of a good jazz guitar. Having 60 years of aged high-grade wood helps. Comes with an older non-original 50’s hard case.
