2003 Gibson L200 Emmylou Harris Model Signed Label

This 2003 Gibson L200 Emmylou Harris guitar is in excellent condition. This guitar is free of any cracks or crack repairs and shows light signs of play wear throughout. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish shows moderate finish checking throughout and some of the decorative inked flowers on the pickguard have disappeared from use. The top is very flat, the bridge is flat to the body, the bridge plate is in excellent condition, the compensated bone saddle is medium height, the neck angle is good, the neck is straight and the truss rod is fully operational. This guitar has an exceptionally comfortable rounded C shaped neck profile with a 1 11/16” nut width. This neck is very comfortable and easy to play - it’s not a slim profile and it’s not super chunky, it's just right! The frets on this instrument show only light signs of play wear (see photos) with no major dents or divots. This guitar has received a professional set up and it plays fantastic up and down the rosewood fingerboard with low action and excellent intonation. This L200 sounds terrific and has that very dry thumpy tone that Gibson flat tops are famous for with an articulate sparkle on the top end, thanks to the Maple back and sides which are beautiful and finely figured (AAA grade maple). The body of these L200 models are 2/3s smaller than a Gibson J200 making them quite a bit more comfortable to sit and play and not quite as imposing for a person of smaller stature. These models are very rare and this example is only the second that I have come across in person. This instrument weighs 4lb, includes the factory paperwork and is housed in its original Gibson hard shell case.
