1959 Gibson L4C with new 3 ply arch top hardshell case.
The L4C has a carved spruce top, mahogany neck with Brazilian rosewood fingerboard, nickel tailpiece - an acoustic archtop the same size as ES-175, but with a solid carved top. The neck profile is a 50's C shape.
Original Kluson tuners with replacement keystone buttons. Original frets. Replacement end pin.
Recently built custom pickguard with genuine Gibson bracket, and US made Kent Armstrong floating pickup with coil tap switch. Pickup is made by Kent at his own shop. It is a single coil with wonderful P90 characteristics, and coil tap switch (P90 on steroids!) and adjustable pole pieces. Includes hidden volume and tone knobs. Jack is 1/4" Switchcraft mounted on the pickguard.
The original pickguard and bracket is included as well as the pickguard in the picture. If you want the old pickguard back on, let me know at time of purchase and I can swap it for you.
For a 55+ year old guitar this guitar is in remarkable shape. It plays and sounds great!
