Description

This is an NOS(New Old Stock) ES-335 Dot(1959 Reissue) in Wine Red. This 335 was used as a reference color guitar over the years, and has never left the Memphis factory since 2009 until now. The guitar is Brand New with COA, Warranty Card, and OHSC.

Features:

⦁ Gold hardware
⦁ Grover Tuners
⦁ Bonnet knobs
⦁ Stop tailpiece with Tune-O-Matic bridge
⦁ Classic 57 PUPs
⦁ Plastic still on black pickguard

This is the nicest modern-era(1980s – present) ES-335 I’ve had over the years, including dozens of Custom Shop, Historic, and Special Order/Made-to-Measure 335s. The color is a beautiful dark red, with a fantastic wide flametop on the top, bottom, and sides. I’ve never seen a flametop this nice on a 335 – the highly figured tops are usually reserved for the Historic Les Pauls, and even then it is a hit or miss situation.

The Wine Red Color, Gold Hardware, and Highly Figured Top are not available in the current 2018 Gibson catalog – you would have to special order those options, and the flametop would not be as nice as this one. This is a great one!
