Description

This is a brand new Left Handed 2017 Gibson ES-335TDC, 1963 Reissue in Cherry Red. This model is NOT available in Lefty and was a special order out of the Memphis factory. It has the VOS finish with faded Nickel hardware for that authentic vintage look – the grain pattern even looks like the 1963/64 ES-335s I’ve had or currently own!

Description:

Although the ES-335 kicked off with the "dot neck" in 1958, many players have always preferred the "block neck" version of the early '60s. The beautifully re-created 1963 ES-335TD includes the correct body shape with narrower horns and rolled fingerboard binding for a soft playing feel.

Features:

⦁ Body: Correct '63 shape with narrower cutaway horns
⦁ Fingerboard: Bound rosewood with block inlays
⦁ Potentiometers: Matched 550k potentiometers
⦁ Hot hide glue: Historic body and neck construction
⦁ Truss rod: Tubeless Historic truss rod
⦁ Pickups: MHS humbuckers
⦁ Frets: Period-correct .100" x .045" fret wire
⦁ Finish: VOS nitrocellulose lacquer

The Cherry Red ES-335 is the guitar associated with so many blues greats, i.e. Eric Clapton, Alvin Lee, Otis Rush, Freddie King, etc.

The last one I had in 2015 sold quickly – the 1963 reissue is a great value in a Gibson 335. This is hands-down my favorite guitar – I own two vintage Cherry 335s!

Includes polish cloth, COA, and OHSC.
