Description

This beaut is a historical piece in our inventory and a guitar we’ve been buzzing about – an early production, all original 1960 Gibson “Les Paul” in the SG body style! Towards the end of 1960, Gibson changed up their flagship solid-bodied model in an effort to boost sales and the aggressive, double cutaway body we know and love as the SG was born! This 1960 set the stage for Gibson’s regular production in 1961 and shares many of the same specs, such as two PAF humbucking pickups, a sideways vibrola, and a slightly larger peghead than its older Les Paul brother. Check out that early 1960 serial number on the back of the headstock too! And…if that wasn’t enough…take a look at its very rare, early brown case! This particular one is in fantastic shape, with just some fading to the Cherry finish.

Overall Condition: 9, even fade of the cherry finish, weather checking
