I’m in love with this one! Up for sale is a 1952 / 1957 Gibson Les Paul Conversion. You see a lot of these on the market that have been converted from a Les Paul Junior or Les Paul Special with new wood / paint. This guitar started its life as an original 1952 Les Paul and retains its original paint with no breaks or repairs. The ’57 conversion was done by Jam City Guitars in Ohio and consisted of original pickup routes being filled with 200 year old Honduras mahogany and re-routed for humbuckers / touched up with gold covering most traces of the original P90s, stop tail conversion, and a shim under the fingerboard to correct the neck angle to allow for a stop tailpiece. This guitar now sports a set of vintage PAFs (with stickers), a ’57 wiring harness and late 50s stop tail / bridge. The guard is original to the guitar and was cut for humbuckers. The tuners are also late 50s single line, single ring Klusons, although at one point the guitar had different tuners on it, there are additional filled screw holes on the back of the headstock. Over this instrument is a monster player and at a fraction of the cost of an actual PAF goldtop how can you say no? Comes complete with its original and well worn Lifton hardshell case.
