Here's a 1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop. Early 1st year example...no breaks or repairs! Gold back, no serial number, unbound neck, with diagonal pickup screws. The guitar has so much vibe, as the finish has aged just right! Everything on the guitar is original, with the exception of the jack plate. Although it's not original to the guitar, it is an original 50's jack plate. The back of the neck has been stripped and lightly over sprayed, which, was done a long time ago. The G string tuner is slightly bent, but functions perfectly. There's a few extra screw holes in the pickup selector cavity from the cover being on in a slightly different position. Those are filled. Also note: the 'Les Paul' logo on the headstock is very faded, but is visible in the right light. See the last picture in the listing.
The neck and playability on the guitar is exceptional!! Plays fast & smooth. Nice full neck profile. The guitar has been re-fretted, and the work is top notch. Thin, vintage style frets, that are clean and in great shape. The action is low down the fingerboard and plays like butter. The P-90's are strong, balanced, and sound amazing!! Great weight on the guitar as well, coming in at 8lbs 9oz. Included is a new, deluxe aftermarket hard shell case.
