1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop

This is what a guitar would look like if you purchased it in 1952 and put it under your bed and never played it . This first year 1952 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop is the cleanest example of any vintage guitar we have had in the shop , it maintains all of its original parts , from the untouched electronics to all the hardware and plastics . The original finish is unblemished with no checking or greening . This is the second version of this iconic model year, early 1952 Goldtops did not have neck binding , but for the majority of the year they did . Most '52's came with the taller knobs but this one has the shorter knobs associated with the later '52's , the 'poker chip' was also added in late 1952. The guitar does not have a serial number on the back of the headstock which would lead us to believe this one was built in late 1952 . The guitar also comes with all of its original paperwork and strap . The original GEIB 4 latch case is in perfect shape. The pickups sound incredible with a reading of 7.9 ohms on the neck and 7.6 ohms on the bridge . This just might be the best investment you ever make ! W/OHSC + Orig Paperwork
