Description

This Gibson Les Paul was made in the USA in 1952. As these go, this one is a very good playing example. It is all original except that somebody (likely named Bill) oversprayed the top gold. The original finish can be seen in the cavities and ironically where it says "Bill" that is the original Gold peeking through. It must have been oversprayed with the "Bill" stickers still on. The finish on the back and sides and neck is original. Also, the binding on the treble side of the neck has been replaced. Finally, there are some small holes around where it says "Bill" that we can't determine their purpose. This is a very cool and vibey guitar from the first year of the Les Paul. It has been pro-setup and plays well. The frets are original and do show wear, but they still play well. The guitar comes with the original case which has been painted black, and has had a rough life, but is still functional.
