In the early 1980s Gibson did many Limited Runs, such as The Guitar Trader Les Paul, and "One Off" 59 Reissue Les Pauls. This is one such "One Off" guitar that has an Incredible Super Flamed Maple top. Features include an inked on 50s style serial number with 9 prefix, Stamped serial number on the ledge of the control cavity just like a Guitar Trader Les Paul, Shaw PAF pickups, Nickel Hardware, Small Headstock, Deep Dish Top, and Thin Binding in the Cutaway. The guitar once had Grover tuners with Tulip Tip tuners reinstalled. Pickup covers have been off and on. The pickguard seems to be made from a slightly different material than we are used to seeing during this time period. It could be original due to the One Off nature of this guitar or is most likely a replacement. The nut has been shimmed in the past and there is a finish checking line coming off the nut on the treble side. Medium Depth profile neck with the following measurements of .843" 1st fret and .98" 12th fret. Excellent vintage condition displaying some average play wear. Included is the original brown hardshell case which displays some normal wear. A very cool "One Off" early 1980s 1959 Reissue Les Paul Flame Top.
