This is an amazing 1954 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop -1954 Gibson GA-40 Amp!

It is 100% original with original brown case, and comes to us from the original owner, and includes old photo's of him playing the guitar in the '50s! Also included is an original letter from the owner, stating the origin and history of the purchase.

As for the guitar....all we can say is...WOW. The neck feels incredible, and has a large 50's neck profile that fits in your hand like a glove. The action & playability couldn't be better. The P-90's have that magic you would come to expect! The bridge pickup is full sounding and has amazing sparkle and clarity. The neck pickup is warm and rich with beautiful low end growl. They have so much character and responsiveness to your attack. Truly remarkable tone!

Previous to the purchase, the music store had put their own decal over the serial number for advertising (a common practice in the day) and along the way someone scratched off a portion of that decal to reveal the serial number. It's a bit hard to read, but visible. Please look at the photo.

Included with the purchase of the guitar, is its original partner, a 1954 Gibson GA-40 amp! It sounds incredible. At a low volume it stays clean with beautiful chime. Turned up it's thick & warm, with amazing breakup. The tube driven tremolo, which includes the original trem pedal, is smooth & lush and sounds fantastic!

As stated, the guitar comes with pictures and a letter from the original owner, as well as hang tags and the original case.
