This 1969 Gibson Les Paul Custom is in excellent overall vintage cosmetic condition and is one of the cleanest examples of the model that I have seen in years. This is an early example and has a one piece body. This guitar shows some lacquer checking throughout and a few dings here and there. The hardware has tarnished a bit and the switch tip is a replacement (see photos). This Les Paul Custom has no breaks, cracks or finish repair issues whatsoever. The neck is nice and chunky and tapers slightly towards the 12th fret. It feels fantastic and comfortable in hand. The fretboard was professionally refretted in 2014 by Gruhn Guitars in Nashville, Tennessee, using vintage style, tall and thin fret wire. The frets show no signs of play wear and have another lifetime of playing left in them. The guitar has been professionally set up and plays outstanding up and down the fingerboard. The wiring is all original and has not been tampered with in any way. There is a visible pot code of 1376902 dating the unit to the second week of 1969. The original patent number stickered T-Top humbuckers sound absolutely phenomenal and retain their original windings.

These 1968-1969 Gibson Les Paul Customs are getting harder to find in original condition and this one is just that - A no nonsense, no stories, original one piece body, no volute or USA stamp, killer Les Paul Custom. A true gem of a guitar shipped safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your door.
