1972 Gibson Les Paul Custom "Sunburst"

A fantastic sounding, early 1970s Les Paul Custom in an unusual cherry Sunburst finish. This 1972 model has been professionally refretted ensuring it's ready for another 50 years of service. The three piece maple neck features a comfortable profile not unlike a '59 neck shape, with a resonant mahogany body and ebony fingerboard. The guitar retains the original Patent Number sticker pickup in the neck while the bridge pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan. The original case from 1972 features a commemorative medallion celebrating the Olympics and concurrent with Gibson's "medallion" Series of Firebirds and Flying V's.
