DESCRIPTION
Up for sale is a fantastic 1974 Gibson Les Paul Custom in its original and heavily yellow’d Alpine White finish. Kid tested, Randy Rhoads approved! This has to be one of my favorite finishes on the Les Paul Custom model and this one just oozes mojo! Decent weight for a 70s LP, fantastic feeling mahogany neck, and an amazing sounding set of original humbuckers (one patent stamped, the other patent sticker, both are original). Pancake mahogany body with maple top, 3 piece mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard. Neck measures .79 @ 1st and 1.01 @ 12th. This instrument is stock and in fantastic shape with the exception of some scattered dings / dents, light play wear, finish yellowing / discoloration and a small superficial hairline finish cracks coming off either side of the neck. There are no breaks or repairs and overall this instrument is a solid early 70s LP Custom. All visible pot codes are coded 1377421 dating to 1974 with wiring untouched. This is a wonderful and hard to find vintage LP Custom and comes complete with its original Gibson branded 70s hardshell case with red interior.
