Yeah, buddy, this 1973 Gibson Les Paul Custom ’54 Reissue has us all excited. These early reissues are so well done and hard to find. Just dripping with 50s style and mojo from head to toe. The gold hardware has great patina, and against the ebony finish it looks marvelous. Nicely aged binding on the body. This guitar has plenty of play wear, scratches and bumps here and there, but overall this Paul looks great.
Other than a refret and a bone nut replacement, it’s all original. 1 11/16 inch nut width. Waffle-back tuners. No volute. Original Gibson-made Alnico Staple pickup in the neck position and P-90 in the bridge. This guitar sounds and plays awesome. There’s no stage in the world that this guitar wouldn’t rock to the rafters.
