A phenomenal, first-year example of a '68 Les Paul Custom reissue from the Nashville Custom Shop! 1968 is a benchmark year for the Les Paul as it returns to the earlier, pre-sg body style after several years of absence. Many players find these vintage 1968 Les Paul Custom models amongst the best Les Pauls, so in 1999 Gibson introduced a reissue that pays faithful tribute to the original. With a mahogany body with maple top, long neck tenon, single piece mahogany neck, and two humbuckers, this guitar is as close as it gets to an original. This guitar also features a beautiful, custom-color "Alpine White" finish, which beautifully accompanies the bound body, ebony board, block pearloid inlays, and gold hardware. The original '57 Classic Pickups sound incredible, while the '68 profile neck, very similar to a '59, make this a great player. Many consider this first-year run of '68 reissue Les Paul Customs to be some of the best from the Custom Shop, and this clean, original guitar is a perfect example.
