Description

Serial number: PF 117.
This rare and beautiful guitar comes complete with the original 'Certificate of Authenticity' signed by Peter Frampton.
This guitar is in excellent condition and is all original. The neck pickup volume pot appears to be original but the ground leads have been re-soldered. In other respects, this instrument conforms to the typical specifications of the model for the period in which it was made with single cutaway chambered mahogany body, carved maple cap, black finish, three humbucking pickups (bridge pickup has “Gibson USA” embossed on the base, middle and neck pickups have PAF stickers), tune-o-matic bridge, stop-bar tailpiece, gold-colored speed knobs, pickup selector switch in upper bass bout, classic “open-book” peghead shape, mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and “split diamond” peghead inlays, individual Grover Rotomatic tuners with metal buttons, Richlite fingerboard with rectangular mother-of-pearl inlays and facsimile Peter Frampton signature engraved at twelfth fret block, multi-ply binding on peghead and body top and back edges, single-ply white binding on fingerboard, and gold-plated metal hardware. The guitar is currently housed in the original Gibson hard shell case with facsimile signature of Peter Frampton on the silk overlay.
