This 2018 Gibson Les Paul R0 is in excellent cosmetic condition overall showing hardly any signs of play wear throughout. The neck profile on this instrument is that of an early 1960 Gibson shape with a 1 11/16" nut width. This neck is not super thin and retains quite a bit of chunk but without the large rounded shoulders that are found on R8s and R9s. It feels extremely comfortable in hand and is, in my opinion, one of the best neck carves on any Reissue Les Paul that has passed through our shop in quite a while. Perfect for folks with smaller hands or for someone that’s not looking for a “baseball bat” neck profile. The fret wire shows virtually no signs of use and has tons of life left. This guitar plays effortlessly up and down the fingerboard with exceptional intonation. The Custombucker humbucking pickups in this guitar sound phenomenal and are, in my opinion, some of the best humbucking pickups Gibson has produced in years. The bridge position pickup has a very articulate, woody almost hollow tone that is quite pleasing and versatile. The neck pickup produces a very creamy, fat tone while still retaining lots of clarity. Both pickups sound great together and are very balanced. The sunburst finish on this Les Paul is top notch. The color is almost like a "Dirty Lemon” with just enough fade from the edges and looks stellar from multiple angles. The figured maple top has a lot of motion and can be very fiery in certain light and angles. Just a super classy Les Paul. This guitar weighs 9lb 2oz and is housed in its original Lifton style case. It includes its COA, paperwork and hangtags. This is an outstanding R0 that will provide its new owner with years of faithful service and look fantastic while doing so. A gem of a guitar shipped out safely and promptly from our little shop here in Clarksville, Tennessee, to your front door.
