Summary: This Gibson is one of the best feeling and sounding 70s Les Paul’s we have had the pleasure of having here at our shop. The Gold finish has a beautiful patina and the neck feels nice and chunky. There is a very minor hairline fracture behind the headstock, our luthier says does not appear to be an immediately concerning issue, nor does it appear to be getting worse and looks like it has been that way for a long time. It could easily be mistaken for a scratch if it was in any other place. It has been professionally re-fretted, setup and restrung with 10s and it plays beautifully up and down the neck. Ships in its original hard-shell case with purple plush interior.

Body: 2 piece mahogany body with cream bound maple carved top, original “Goldtop” finish, cream pickguard & plastics.

Neck: The 3 piece mahogany neck has a great full profile with subtle volute, bound rosewood fingerboard, trapezoidal pearloid inlays, new frets, 24 ¾” scale length and 1 11/16” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 original mini humbuckers, 2 volumes, 2 tones, 3 way toggle, double ring Gibson Deluxe tuning keys, wire tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece.

Cosmetics: There is a very small fracture behind the headstock that is not a structural concern at this time and appears to be extremely stable and has been for a long time. It could be mistaken for a scratch if it wasn’t in the typical spot where most headstocks break. There are a fair amount of scratches, dents, dings and minor blemishes one would expect to see on a vintage guitar. There is a bit of buckle rash, some pick scratches and finish checking.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The neck has been professionally re-fretted - they are in great shape with no notable wear from use and it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: the guitar has been re-fretted, nut has been shimmed, original bridge is in the case and there is a replacement on the guitar.

Weight: 10 lbs, 5 oz.

Case: This vintage Gibson ships with the original hard-shell case & we will ship it professionally packed and fully insured!
