1973 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop
Feels like a good Paul should at 9.5 lbs. No chambering or anything here! The neck has a medium shape to it, perhaps a little thicker than most of the era. It has been re-fretted with medium jumbo sized fretwire. It is a 3pc mahogany neck and the body is the typical "pancake" construction.
Like a lot of well-gigged Gibson it does have a headstock break and repair. It was a total pro job and the finish was over-sprayed to hide the seam. It is a solid repair.
As a players grade guitar a few parts have been changed including the tuners, bridge, tailpiece, and strap button. Pots and overall guitar specs date the guitar to 1973. Pickups are the original "patent sticker" mini humbuckers.
