Description

Summary: Part way through 1958, Gibson updated the Les Paul Junior. Changes included a new double cutaway body-shape with rounded horns as well as a new standard Cherry finish. These iconic Gibson guitars are perfectly simple rock n’ roll machines and are surprisingly versatile with a spin of the volume and tone knobs.

Body: double rounded cutaway mahogany body

Neck: set mahogany neck, 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays.

Pickups/Hardware: Original Potentiometers, bumble bee cap, and P-90 pickup. Original wrap around tailpiece and three-per-side tuners with white oval plastic buttons

Cosmetics: This guitar is in great shape for its age. There is weather checking and numerous small dings and scratches on the guitar including buckle rash on the back and some edge wear on the head stock. All the wear is cosmetic. There are no cracks, breaks or repairs and the bridge has not pulled forward.

Playability: It’s a killer little guitar. The action is set low and it is a smooth fast neck as far as junior go. The frets have some dings in the first few positions but there is plenty of height left.

Weight: 7 lbs, 4 oz.

Case: Include original “Alligator skin” chipboard case. The case has a fair amount of wear but is held together fine
