Description

8 lbs. 15 oz.

NOT NEW, BUT BARELY USED. Still has EVERYTHING case candy wise.

Here's your chance to own #95. 95 of only 100 made with a real good top underneath . OK , if you don't know all about the story on the new Gibson CC#34, The Gibson Custom Shop will take a new Sunburst 1959 Flametop reissue , paint it black and then age it. WHY ?
Because that's what they did back in 1960 for a customer who wanted a black Les Paul but couldn't afford the Custom so he ordered a Standard in black and Gibson agreed to do it. This is where it gets a little strange. Gibson then took a 1959 Sunburst Flametop with a 59 serial # , painted it black , inked on a 1960 serial # and sent it on it's way. Yes , they had an unsold 1959 Flametop at the factory and painted it black over the flamed maple sunburst. The original BLACKBURST surfaced about 15 yrs ago and is now owned by Joe Bonamassa ( see Vintage Guitar mag from December 2014 ) . We just got this in and it's a super cool guitar that plays and sounds unbelievable. The weight is 9 lbs 2 oz. Along with the certificate and all the hang tags comes a picture of this flametop at the factory with it's weight and serial # before it was painted black and aged. With only 45 for the states and with a max of 100 worldwide this will surely be a future collectible.
