1961 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Cherry

Here's a 1961 Gibson Les Paul SG with side ways vibrola. The guitar comes to us from an un-circulated collection, and has lived in its case for many years now. Outstanding playing & sounding example! The neck pickup is an original Pat No Sticker Humbucker. We believe the bridge humbucker to be a PAF that lost its sticker. Pots and wiring all original. There's a small repaired stress crack at the heel of the neck. It's completely solid and a great repair. The rest of the body is in really nice shape. At some point the finish at the serial number was sanded down, most likely to make it more visible. The guitar had Grover Tuners on at some point, so the holes are slightly enlarged, while the original tuners are back on. The guitar plays fantastic, with low action from top to bottom! Not being played for so many years, the frets are clean, with good life left. And as mentioned....incredible tone. OHSC!
