1961 Gibson Les Paul / SG Custom Pearl White

This is an extremely cool, if highly customized, SG Custom that was made by Gibson in 1961. It has an extremely attractive pearl white refinish that looks to have been done in the 1960's and has worn naturally giving the guitar a very authentic patina. The finish was applied very professionally and the quality is comparable to factory work. Most of the parts are not original, but the pickguard, tuners, back plate and one pot are original. The pickups late 60's or early 70's patent sticker t-tops that sound fantastic. There is only a neck and bridge pickup and the middle pickup is covered with a custom made brass part that matches the custom made brass tailpiece and knobs. The guitar has also been refretted with larger than standard frets. The removal of the middle pickup in addition to the non-trem tailpiece make this SG more playable than a standard triple pickup/sideways trem example. The guitar has been played extensively and there are dings and dents and scratches but there is no visible structural damage. The guitar has been pro-setup and plays great. The guitar comes with the original case.
