1963 Gibson Les Paul (SG) Custom Cherry

Just in, this stunning 1963 SG/Les Paul Custom model features an extremely rare custom "Cherry" finish! These almost never appear for sale as they were custom ordered directly from Gibson. A transitional model, this guitar still retains the "Les Paul" name plate above the neck pickup and features a pair of Patent Number Humbucking pickups, as well as an original PAF in the neck position. The distinctive body style now known as the SG shape sports a rare "Cherry" finish complimented by a white pickguard and gold hardware, as well as the other features found on the top-of-the-line Les Paul Custom models like an ebony fingerboard, bound headstock with split diamond inlay, and a gold Maestro Vibrola tailpiece. An old and nearly undetectable headstock repair was completed at some time in the guitar's past.
