Description

1974 Gibson Les Paul Signature bass. Goldtop.
Previously owned & well played by local ColumbusGrove City bass legend Tom Courtney, RIP. (The Bombadiers, Rosie, Terry Davidson and the Gears). Hence the T.C. III truss rod cover.

Great playing & sounding bass.
Shows a lot of wear, as he played it regularly for a couple
Mostly original.
Truss rod cover replaced.
Bridge cover missing & studs installed in the screw holes.
Low impedance Jack removed. High impedance jack works as it should with volume, tone , filter.
Some fret wear, but playable as it sits.
Neck is straight, but truss rod ifs fairly tight. May have a bit more room (or install small washers if desired).
Hairline neck separation at heel. Been like that a long time , not going anywhere.
Pickguard was cracked & reglued.
Pickup surround probably not original.
Looks to be black , painted creme.
Knobs are not original…..but damn close !!
Dunlop strap locks installed.
All of that said , this is one badass bass with a lot of vibe & personality !!
Comes with a Calzone style flight case.
