Description

We get these carcass guitars in from time to time. Needs a full restoration. This is a circa '55 or '56 Les Paul Special that's obviously had a rough life. Here the good, bad, and ugly. So, it's got good wood (60 year old mahogany) with no cracks or breaks...Neck is straight and truss rod working. Correct switch, Neck P-90 is original, works and sounds great as you would think. Plays and sounds great! The Bad: Completely stripped, Changed Tuners, (Grovers), Changed bridge pickup (humbucker), changed Bridge, changed knobs, changed electronics, changed jackplate. No serial number. Veneer chipped on face of headstock. Missing truss rod cover. Rhythm/Treble switch ring missing. Missing pickguard with wood filled holes. The Ugly: Body is routed for the bridge humbucker, shows signs of more rounded edges because of sanding. With non-original hardshell case.
