Description

Here we have a player-grade 1962 Gibson Les Paul Special that is going to make some guitar player very happy. It’s a great sounding and playing guitar—a true rock machine—with lots of mods and playwear accumulated from nearly six decades of making music. There are filled and retouched holes from various changes and an overall patina of dings and finish checking, but they give this LP Special a real cool vintage vibe and there are no underlying structural issues to worry about.

The guitar started its life as a right-handed guitar, was converted to lefty, and then back to righty. The guitar has a set of period correct but non-original tuners. It has had a neck reset and a refret, and at one time there was a neck plate attached (probably as a stabilizing fix before the neck was reset). The neckplate has been removed, screw holes filled, and the finish touched up.

Some changes to the wiring and electronics, but both of the P-90s are original to the guitar and they sound just as awesome as you’d expect. This guitar has its original tremolo system which has been disengaged (original trem arm is in the case). Replaced bone nut with a width of 1 and 11/16 inches. Very comfortable neck profile with neck depth at the first fret is .81 inches and at the twelfth fret .94 inches.

We’ve priced this guitar to reflect all condition issues and modifications, so you can snag this vintage Les Paul Special at a player-friendly price. Go ahead, make your day. Buy this guitar and you can rule any stage with your awesomeness.
