Offered for sale;

2014 Gibson Les Paul Special AAA Flame Top Semi-Hollowbody serial number 140020546.

This guitar is in excellent condition. Neck and frets are fine, cosmetically clean. Prior to us buying it the owner had us install a couple of Duncans and wire it standardly. When he sold it to us we reinstalled the original pickups with the original wiring.

This is a limited edition model produced for a big music/big box retailer; hence there is a limited amount of information published.

Here is the quote from the original sales brochure:

“Featuring a AAA flame caramel-burst top on a weight-relieved mahogany body, this semi-hollow Les Paul Special is the stuff of which dreams are made. The ’57 Classic and Super ’57 humbuckers round out the package for a classic Gibson tone that’ll last a lifetime. “

Our evaluation:

The Gibson Les Paul Special AAA Flame Top with F-Hole Electric Guitar has some interesting features. The AAA flame maple top features an f-hole with a body route. The mahogany back has other hollow chambers that help give this guitar a unique semi-hollowbody tone. The mahogany neck sports a granadillo fretboard with dot-position markers. The pickups are ‘57 Classic & Super’ 57. Each pickup has a push pull pot that sounds like a coil tap. But actually it simulates a coil tap sound by engaging some filters that make a humbucker sound like a single coil while still cancelling the hum. Not unlike what Leo Fender did on the G&L F-100 when he started the G&L Company in 1980.

Very nice guitar at a good value.

Original hard shell case included.

*Please note: We do our best giving descriptions of our used items. We have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.

*This is a specific item that is also being offered for sale in our brick & mortar location. It is possible that it has just been sold. Please ask if it is still available before purchasing.

*It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.
