2014 Gibson Les Paul Standard 120th Anniversary Sunburst

Summary: The Gibson Les Paul Standard 2014 Electric Guitar celebrates Gibson's 120th Anniversary in style. It has the classic feel and looks we have come to love about the Les Paul but with a lot of added modern features. It has a mahogany body with modern weight relief, flame maple top and a super comfortable asymmetrical mahogany neck with a '60s slim taper. The compound radius rosewood fingerboard has undercut frets over the binding for extra playing surface and sports a 120th Anniversary banner at the 12th fret. Other key features include Burst Bucker Pro 1+2 pickups with coil-splitting and phase changing, reverse polarity rear pickup, knobs, Graph Tech nut and TonePros locking tune-o-matic bridge. This guitar in in wonderful shape and has been fully inspected and set up by our in house luthier. It ships in its original brown hard shell case.

Body: It has a mahogany body with modern weight relief and a bound flame maple top with a sunburst finish and no pickguard.

Neck: This Les Paul features an ergonomic asymmetrical slim 60’s profile mahogany neck with bound compound radius rosewood fingerboard with Cryogenic treated fret wire for longer life and corrosion resistance, black side dots, and mother-of-pearl trapezoid inlays and 120th Anniversary logo at 12th fret. 1 11/16” nut width, 24 3/4" scale length. It has nickel Grover tuners with keystone buttons, black Graph Tech nut and “Standard” truss rod cover. Neck is straight and truss rod functions as it should.

Pickups/Hardware: Other key features include Burst Bucker Pro 1+2 pickups with coil-splitting and phase changing, reverse polarity rear pickup, knobs, Graph Tech nut and TonePros locking tune-o-matic bridge.

Cosmetics: This Les Paul is in excellent shape and was played and kept with the upmost care. There are 3 very minor dents in the back, a few small scuffs on the bottom side and a couple of very light scratches as well, consistent with an instrument that was lightly played but cared for. The pickguard has been removed and there are 2 small holes where the mounting screws once where.

Playability: We set this beauty up with a new set of 10’s – adjusted the neck to make sure the truss rod was functioning properly, set the action low & it plays and sounds great.

Modifications: The original E-Tune tuning key system was replaced with a good set of Grovers but you can’t even tell by looking at the back of the headstock. The pickguard has also been removed and is not included with the guitar.
