Description

This is a clean original 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard Sunburst (SN# 91104), referred to as an either/or, being that it came from the factory with a Bigsby installed as well as factory stud holes for a stop tailpiece; with white pearloid inserts covering up the holes. The pearloid covers easily pop out and the factory receivers for the stud screws were factory installed, allowing the guitar to be easily converted between stop tail and Bigsby. The pearloid covers can be seen under the Bigsby in the pictures attached. The guitar comes with both the Bigsby and the stop tailpiece in the original brown case. I went through the guitar with Jim Foote, my luthier from Music Works to verify the authenticity and this guitar is an original correct 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard Sunburst. The big round neck is incredibly comfortable. The light weight and balance, as well as the high output pickups, make this a great playing and sounding guitar. The color fade and the excellent condition make for a beautiful traditional and popular 59 Sunburst look. Please note that the original pickup covers had once been removed, showing the double black and zebra pickups. They have since been professionally reattached.
