Description

This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard in Sunburst has faded to that honey burst color we all know and love! This carved maple top is so intensely flamed and features some beautiful, speckled grain. It plays maybe even better than it looks, but don’t just take our word for it. Check out that play wear! You can tell this guitar has been loved for many years for its tonal AND visual qualities. Upon authentication, we noticed a filled hole at the treble side of the body where the pickguard was originally attached. There is also a superficial impression underneath the pickguard that came from the bracket screw hitting the top of the body. We suspect that, at some point, the guitar must have taken impact to this area. This caused the pickguard to hit the body, creating light damage at both screw sites. To avoid any further damage, the pickguard screw on the side of the body was professionally moved closer to the top, and the original hole was filled. This in no way affects the function of the guitar.

Overall Condition: 8.5, vibey overall playwear and age
