This is a rare chance to own not only the most iconic, desirable electric guitar model ever made -  but one previously owned and used by 6-time Grammy-Nominee, & Grammy Producer of the Year (2005) John Shanks, who also has 45 number-one singles, 102 top-5 singles, 91 number-one albums and 198 top-5 albums to his credit.  

John played his first 'Burst" in the 1990's, and since then out of his extensive vintage collection his #1 go-to session guitar has been a 1959 or 1960 Les Paul Sunburst.

Having bought his first '59 in 2004 he has used them in sessions with Van Halen, Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crowe, Kelly Clarkson, Carlos Santana, Fleetwood Mac, Miley Cyrus and hundreds of others - sometimes handing them to an artist to use, sometimes playing parts himself.

This 1959 Les Paul is a true working tool, meant to be played!  Weighing in at 8.4 pounds it's a light one that's comfortable on the strap, has the very desirable '59 round neck profile,  has original tuners, pots, PAF pickups and is a great sounding and playing instrument that is becoming tough to find at this type of price.  

The finish is original and has been blacklight tested/verified. 2 different Bigsby vibratos have been mounted and subsequently removed (one top-mount, one trapeze), the upper strap button has been moved appx 1/2”, with mounting holes all being professionally filled and the original stop tailpiece reinstalled on the guitar; the early 1959 serial number indicates it may have had original smaller frets and it has been professionally refretted.

The 1958/59/60 Les Paul Sunburst market is very strong right now, with prices approaching 2008 levels and projected to climb - so you are looking at not only a wonderful tool but potentially an excellent investment.  This is simply a rare opportunity to acquire a widely-recorded artists' tool at a price not likely to be seen again!  Drew Berlin has been playing, buying, selling, brokering and evaluating vintage Les Pauls for over 40 years and really likes this one.
