Here's a great little burst at a bargain price! It's the 2nd burst I've ever owned, and I was thrilled to buy it back after 25 years of deep storage in someone's collection. It was featured on the cover of Mac Yasuda's "The Vintage Guitar" Volume 2 in the early 1990's. Though not a perfectly book-matched top, both sides are really flamey and deep, this coupled with the nearly un-faded cherry sunburst finish makes it visually stunning. But this beauty is also a beast...it plays and sounds amazing!!! It's got the typical 1960 wide-flat neck profile that's a real pleasure to play, especially if you like doing that really fast stuff, and it's quite resonant as well...of the five bursts I have in stock, people love playing this one the most. It's got two double black PAFs that read 7.6k ohms at the bridge and 8.2k ohms at the neck, the pots read 1345950 which are the 50th week of '59, and it weighs a lightweight 8.8 pounds. There's evidence the guitar had a few different types of tuners installed in the past, and there's also some imperfections in the finish along the ass end from a reaction to being stored with a plastic strap in the case. But other than that, and a few scattered dings, the guitar remains in relatively excellent condition, and it comes in a nice 5-latch brown Lifton case.
