Description

Allrighty! Here we have a rare and beautiful 1968 Gibson Les Paul Standard Goldtop just for y-o-u. First year of the second iteration of the Les Paul and sporting a one-piece body, one-piece neck, and the highly desirable small headstock. This is a great one.

Nut width is a comfortable 1 11/16 inches. One-piece Mahogany neck with 22 original frets and scale length of 24 3/4 inches. The original tuners have been replaced with Schallers. Vintage neck profile with a depth of .875 at the first fret and 1.1 inches at the twelfth fret. Missing its pickguard. Original tailpiece.

Cool finish checking and general played-in condition make this sweet ’68 Les Paul look as good as it sounds, and that’s saying something, as this guitar with its original P-90 pickups has the voice that defines the Les Paul model. Ah yes, we would love to keep this one, but we’re in the business of selling guitars, so we’ll allow some lucky patron to take her home.
