1992 Gibson Les Paul Standard Trans Cherry

Summary: This Les Paul Standard is in great used condition with a gorgeous deep red cherry finish over a subtly figured maple top. There is a bit of tarnishing on the gold hardware which looks at home on this guitar and the neck has a great round C profile. It has no breaks, repairs or structural concerns and has just been setup and restrung by our in-house guitar tech. The action is low, the neck is straight and it plays beautifully. It even ships in an ‘80s style “chainsaw” hard-shell Gibson case.

Body: Solid body electric guitar with a mahogany body & neck and a bound maple cap. This Gibson has a beautiful bright red cherry finish & gold hardware.

Neck: Fully bound mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard & trapezoid pearloid inlays, 1 11/16” nut width and 24 ¾” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: Gold hardware, Gibson Deluxe tuning machines, cream plastics, Gibson USA humbuckers, 2 volumes, 2 tones and a 3-way toggle.

Cosmetics: This Gibson is in great used condition and has a nice worn in feel around the fingerboard edges, a small amount of fretwear, some hairline cracks in the binding in a few spots - mostly at the fret ends. There is a fair amount of pick scratching and minor dings and dents you would expect to find on a great Gibson that has seen a few gigs. The pickup ring has a small crack by the mounting screws.

Playability: Our in-house guitar tech has just inspected, setup and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully functioning and the action has been setup low and comfortable. The frets are in good shape with some wear up the neck from use but it plays beautifully up and down the fingerboard with no dead spots or choking out.

Modifications: The strap buttons are aftermarket, replacement gold hardware & changed tuning keys.
