Offered here is a Les Paul Standard Faded, this one built in 2007. These Standard Faded models were known to LP aficionados to be great playing, great sounding and super resonant guitars with their extremely thin satin finishes. Many consider this guitar among the best models Gibson ever built.
This guitar has a chambered body that gives it a nice light weight of just 7 pounds, 15 ounces. It has Gibson's 60's neck shape with depth measurements of .82" at the first fret, increasing to .96" at the twelfth fret. The pickups are Zebra Coil Burstbucker Pros. The finish is 'Tobacco Sunburst.'
With it's ultra light weight and great balance, this guitar is a joy to play. The setup is low and buzz free. The neck shape will appeal to players seeking a medium C-shape neck. It feels great and plays superbly. The tone is pure LP; check out the provided sound sample and I think you will agree, this guitar has a great fat, woody LP tone with lots of bite!
This is one of the cleanest examples of this model that I have ever come across. Up very close and personal you will find some very fine indentations (see photos), but these cosmetic issues are very hard to see except for very close up and do nothing to keep this from being a great LP. The frets are in excellent condition. The guitar comes in it's original Gibson case, also in superb shape, along with the original paperwork and truss rod tool.
It is said that Gibson stopped making this modestly-priced model because it was so successful that it was cutting into the sales of their pricier Les Paul models. Make this "cult" model LP Standard Faded yours today and see what all the hype was about. You will be very glad you did!
