Offered here is a very special Les Paul for your consideration. This guitar is a converted 2008 Gibson USA Les Paul Standard Faded with a chambered body and a 50's neck shape. Talented Nashville luthier Nick Drushel refinished the top in Lemonburst nitro, replaced all the hardware with aged Custom Shop parts and installed Gibson Custom Bucker pickups with aged covers to give it the look and feel of a Custom Shop R8. As these photos show, the resulting guitar is a masterpiece!
These Standard Faded models were known to LP aficionados to be great playing, sounding and super resonant guitars with their thin satin finishes. This guitar maintains the desired qualities of the original instrument, but now looks like a Custom Shop Les Paul with it's new vintage-style burst top and high grade hardware and pickups. It has a chambered body with a full nitrocellulose satin finish and a total weight of just 7.2 pounds. The neck is Gibson's 50's style carve with depth measurements of .86" at the first fret, increasing to .99" at the twelfth fret.
With it's ultra light weight and great balance, this guitar is a joy to play. The setup is low and buzz free. The neck shape will appeal to players seeking a medium C-shape neck; not too big and not too small. These guitars sounded great stock, but the installation of Gibson's best Custom Bucker pickups transforms the tone of this guitar to that of a much more expensive LP. Check out the provided sound sample and I think you will agree, this guitar has a great fat, woody LP tone with lots of bite!
This one-of-a-kind LP is in as new condition. Nick does these conversions only for his personal guitars and does not take new orders. He did this conversion on what was a virtually unplayed LP Standard Faded, so it shows little to no wear and the frets are flawless. It comes to you in a black Gibson Custom LP case in similarly mint condition.

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included.
