Summary: Gibson USA's Slash Signature Les Paul Standard is a heartfelt tribute to Slash and the guitar he's used for more than 20 years to create some of the most powerful and popular hard rock of all time. Working closely with Slash, Gibson USA recreated his favorite Les Paul Standard. "I've got one of these on the road right now," Slash says. "It's probably one of the best live guitars that I've had in a really long time. It's all the best qualities of Les Pauls rolled into one. This guitar has been played hard and it really shows with plenty of buckle rash, pick scratches and minor nicks and dings but the frets are in great shape and it plays beautifully. The previous owner has attempted to scratch out the Slash logo on the headstock and on the original hardshell case so here is your chance to get one of these limited run Slash signature guitars at a great low price.

Body: An Antique Vintage Sunburst finish is applied to a solid mahogany body with a “AA” maple figured top and dark back. The body features Gibson's period-correct weight-relief structure, top binding and no pickguard.

Neck: The Slash-designed solid mahogany neck is given a thin, comfortable profile to Slash's personal specifications, Slash's skull and crossbones, top hat logo, and signature adorn the headstock. The bound 22 fret rosewood fingerboard looks amazing with its trapezoidal inlays and Gibson Deluxe tuners with green keystone pegs. It has a 24.75” scale length and 1.675” nut width.

Pickups/Hardware: This Les Paul has a wonderful sounding pair of Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro humbuckers – the same pickups Slash uses in all his Les Pauls – for sweet, vintage tone, a tune-o-matic bridge and stop tailpiece, amber knobs, 2 volumes, 2 tones and 3 way toggle.

Cosmetics: This guitar shows a lot of pick scratching and minor dings in the finish as well as buckle rash and most notably, someone has attempted to scratch out the Slash logo on the headstock and did the same thing on the original case. The frets are in great shape with just minor wear, nothing that negatively affects playability. There is also one slightly bent tuning peg shaft and some small chips in the top edge of the nut which are purely cosmetic and do not hinder playing or tuning stability at all. There are some chips on the edge of the headstock by the tuning keys, exposing the bare wood underneath. One of the pickup rings has a split

Playability: This guitar plays wonderfully up and down the fingerboard, the slim “C” 60s style neck feels right at home in the hand and the action has been set low by our in house luthier. We have just restrung this Les Paul with a new set of 10s and despite the cosmetic blemishes, this is one of the finest playing Les Paul in the shop.

Weight: 9 lbs, 14 oz.

Case: A custom-made, smooth black case featuring Slash's logo accompanies this guitar. The previous owner has cut out the Slash logo from the tolex on the case but otherwise the case operates as it should.
