1997 Gibson Les Paul Studio Wine Red, Very Good, Hard

Used 1997 Gibson Les Paul Studio serial number 90167528.

This guitar is in very good condition, neck and frets are fine, normal wear & tear.

This guitar has an E.T. themed “skin” applique applied to the top and the pick guard, E.T.'s right eye and mouth is by the controls and pickguard. Though unusual it looks pretty cool and was done quite well.

The Les Paul Studio was introduced 1983 as a more affordable version of the Les Paul Standard. Les Paul Studios are basically Les Paul Standards without neck and body binding, but still featuring a carved maple top on a mahogany body and a rosewood fretboard on a mahogany neck and two Gibson humbuckers.

The neck isn't super fat but it is '50s style. It measures .830" thick at the 1st fret and ~.970 at the 12th.

Cool “Studio” model, interesting graphics, overall nice guitar.

Hard shell case included.
