Up for sale, a 2009 Gibson Les Paul Traditional in excellent condition and in perfect working order. The Traditional line focuses on the key aspects of the original Les Paul design that has made it one of the most enduring and iconic guitars ever crafted, and with a non-chambered mahogany body, carved maple top, and '57 Classic PAF reissue humbuckers, there's plenty to love about this modern Gibson. At 10lbs 2oz, this guitar has ample punch and sustain, and the stock humbuckers have a detailed and rich sound, with more growl and cut in the bridge position, and smooth, glassy notes that have a real girth and roundness at the neck. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this Les Paul Traditional has been dialed in with optimal action, spot-on intonation, and fresh 10-46 strings.

The neck has a medium C profile that borders on the chunkier side of things without reaching "baseball bat" territory, and the shape is very faithful to a '59 Les Paul. The bound rosewood fretboard features more slender, vintage-style fretwire, and these frets show no notable wear, with well rounded crowns and no buzzing or dead spots. The nut has the traditional (no pun intended) 1 11/16" width, which provides ideal spacing for comfortable chording and accurate lead work. The original Kluson Deluxe tuners are intact on the headstock and turn smoothly with tulip buttons.

All of the electronics work as they should, and no corners were cut in terms of the quality of the components in the wiring harness (none of the circuit board funny business of many recent Gibson models). The hardware is in fantastic shape, with clean chrome plating on the Nashville bridge and tailpiece, along with minty amber speed knobs, and lightly aged creme pickup rings, pickguard, and pickup selector switch ring. Cosmetically, this guitar shows a bit of light playwear, with faint buckle rash on the back in the clear coat, a few tiny nicks on the face of the guitar just north of the tailpiece, and some finish chips along the back edge of the lower bout adjacent to the control cavity. The Cherry Sunburst nitro lacquer gloss finish is vibrant and unfaded on the AA maple top, with a deep cherry stain on the mahogany back and neck. The bookmatched flame maple on the top isn't too ostentatious, but very representative of many real Bursts, with consistent, stately figuring across the entire top.

The original hardshell case is included.
