Up for sale is a 1954 Gibson LG-1 all original except for replaced frets, tuners, and bridge pins. These ladder-braced guitars were the less expensive cousins to the LG-2 and LG-3 models but like many student model guitars from the 50s and 60s, they have a strong following among modern guitar players.
Spruce top with mahogany back and sides. This one is in good cosmetic condition with a nice clean headstock and fingerboard. The body has its share of dings but nothing egregious. There is some slight heel separation. The guitar has normal finish checking on the top and a small patch of finish clouding on the back, but overall this guitar presents as a well-loved vintage guitar.
The guitar is playable up and down the neck but could benefit from a neck reset to play its best. Comes with a non-original soft shell case.
