A 1946 Gibson LG-2 with Sunburst top.
This LG-2 dates to the period when Brazilian Rosewood was de rigueur not only for back and sides, but for fingerboards and bridges, too. As you'll see in the pictures, this guitar has had a bit of a rough life. The finish has bubbled likely from prolonged exposure to the elements or a heat source at some point. The back displays some large cracks which have been glued but not cleated. The braces have been reglued and there is a crack in the center back brace. Despite the damage and repairs, this old boy is a survivor, just waiting for an owner who can appreciate the beauty beneath the scars. Structurally sound, but will undoubtedly need some TLC in the years to come.
