2019 Gibson LPR8 (1958 reissue) Light Burst with Original Hardshell Case

Summary: Gibson has done a superb job recreating this legendary instrument down to every detail. The craftsmanship is top notch, the materials are hand selected of the highest quality which makes for a guitar with unmatched tone and feel. This particular R8 is from 2019, it has been kept in the finest shape and never abused. It looks practically brand new and sounds brilliant with articulate note clarity and a blooming sustain from the PAF style pickups. It come with the original Lifton hard-shell case with the COA, warranty info, Gibson literature and case keys.

Body: This R8 has a lightweight solid mahogany body with a bound plain maple top and beautiful natural light burst finish.

Neck: This instrument has a nice round comfortably chunky neck profile. Long tenon solid mahogany neck with a fully bound Indian rosewood fingerboard glued down with hot hide glue. It has nice polished narrow tall frets, aged cellulose nitrate trapezoid inlays, 22 frets, 12” fretboard radius, 1.69” nut width, nylon nut and 24.75” scale length.

Pickups/Hardware: 2 unpotted Custombucker Alnico III pickups, 2 volume, 2 tone, 3 way toggle, CTS 500K audio taper potentiometers, paper-in-oil capacitors, Switchcraft output jack, butyrate gold top hats, Kluson single line/single ring tuning machines with green keystone pegs, no wire ABR-1 nickel plated brass bridge and lightweight aluminum stop-bar tailpiece.

Cosmetics: This guitar is in immaculate condition with no major wear to mention. There are 2 small surface level scuffs on the bottom side and 2 tiny dents on the top side.

Playability: The playability of this Gibson is wonderful. Our in-house luthier has just set up and restrung this guitar with a new set of 10s. This Les Paul has low action with a nice straight neck, smooth polished and level frets with little to no wear on them, and an excellent feeling neck and fretboard. This guitar is really a dream to play.
