2007 Gibson Melody Maker Black Satin

Excellent condition featuring single cutaway mahogany body, one Gibson single coil pickup in the bridge position with black plastic cover, one volume control and one tone control with black plastic bonnet knobs, large single ply black plastic pickguard with electronics and output mounted to it and white Melody Maker logo, wraparound stud tailpiece, set mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays starting at the 3rd fret, bone nut, small Melody Maker peghead shape, black peghead face with gold Gibson logo, single ply black plastic bell shaped truss rod cover, Gibson Deluxe Kluson style tuning machines with white plastic oval shaped tuning buttons, serial number and Made In USA impressed into the back of the peghead, two metal strap buttons, chrome plated metal hardware, black satin finish and original Gibson branded black padded gig bag. This guitar weighs 6lb 4oz.

This 2007 Gibson Melody Maker is in remarkably clean condition and still has the plastic protective clear film on the pickguard. The only sign of use is one small scuff on the bottom edge of the body (see photos). The rest of the instrument is extremely tidy. The neck profile on this guitar is that of a medium chunky, rounded C shape with a 1 11/16” nut width and it is very comfortable in the hand. The frets show virtually no signs of play wear and have a lifetime of use left in them. This instrument plays great up and down the fingerboard. The single coil pickup sounds very good overdriven and clean and has a nice round punchy tone. The tone pot has a very nice sweep and allows for a pretty wide variety of sounds. This Melody Melody seems to have been bought and then put away somewhere and not played very often or at all. This guitar is housed in its original Gibson gig bag and is ready for a new owner to give it the attention it deserves!
