2014 Gibson Memphis '63 ES-335TDC Block VOS
Offered here is a Gibson that I call their "old style" '63 ES 335 Block Reissue. This version of the '63 ES 335 was introduced in 2013 as their "50th Anniversary" model. It is a model built much more like the original upon which it is based with a more accurate body shape, nylon saddles, constructed with natural hide glues, a lighter center block and it is given a VOS (light aging) treatment which makes it look, feel and play more like a vintage instrument. Gibson continued making this model beyond 2013 due to popular demand. This guitar is from 2014, the second year of production.
This particular example (serial number 41079) was completed in July of 2014. It has a medium C-shaped neck with depth measurements of .85" at the first fret increasing to .97" at the twelfth fret. This example is also on the light side for this model, weighing just 7.9 pounds. Other key specs include: a 24.75" string scale; a 1.70" nylon nut; a 12" radius fretboard made of nicely figured rosewood; Burstbucker 1 and 2 humbucker pickups; and an ABR-1 bridge with stop bar tailpiece. The guitar is finished in Sixties Cherry nitrocellulose lacquer, with cream binding, aged hardware and the lightly aged VOS treatment. This guitar looks and feels like the real deal. It plays superbly and sounds great too; please check out the provided sound sample. This guitar gives you the nice fat, woody tone that Gibson ES guitars are known for!
This guitar has seen limited play and has no significant flaws aside from the factory VOS aging and extremely light play and handling wear. The frets remain in great condition too, with no observable wear. It comes in it's original custom case with the era-correct gold lining, along with the certificate of authenticity.
This model does not appear to be in production any longer, but this well-maintained 2014 example is. Make this very special ES-335 yours today!

Shipping to Continental US addresses is via FedEx Ground, with flat rate shipping of $60 to Eastern time zones, $70 Central and $80 Mountain/Pacific. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is $100. Refunds of the original purchase price less shipping and a 10% restocking fee may be requested within 48 hours of delivery. Exchanges within one (1) week of the original date of purchase may be made for an item of equal or greater value at the discretion of Capital Guitars. Where permitted herein, items must be promptly returned at the buyer's expense, in the same condition as received with all accessories and paperwork included. Sale items, purchases that are made via layaway, those involving trades and/or international shipping are considered final except upon an error by and at the discretion of Capital Guitars.
